Well it is that time of year. We are starting to get T4′s and I was out shopping for tax software when I came across Studio Tax Enterprise on Frugal Shopper.

When I think of taxes and having to file really I don’t want to have to pay more then I have to. From the reviews of some of my frugal friends this software makes it easy for us Canadians to efile for free. How great is that?

Don’t You love a Freebie? I know I do. Now some of my recent finds are down loadable, some you learn from and well some are for the kids or a great gift idea. Freebies work for me.
1. A couple weeks ago I found a great way to learn American Sign language for free. My daughter and I use sign as a way to communicate and keep it secret..She has even learned how to sign certain songs as a gift to me. So if you want to learn something new this holiday season why not learn a sign or two.
2. Yesterday I was on one of my favorite magazine’s website and came across this snuggie (yes the ones you see on tv) and it is a freebie with a string attached( a survey after receipt)
3. A wonderful down loadable Hello Kitty Calendar also appeared in my inbox yesterday. What a great gift idea for a girl on your list? You do have to sign up for their email.
4.Another great one for the workout lover is this free mix of music for workouts. It is from Roxy!
5.Now this final one is a great idea for the family that likes to give, now just remember this giveaway begins on January 1, 2010. If you volunteer as a family you each can get a one day pass to a Disney Park. How great is that you give some time and you get some fun! Think of volunteering as a family and then enjoy a day on Disney.

Wow! Came across a great local freebie. The Virgin Fest planned for tomorrow is now a FREE event! The Tragically Hip were supposed to be there but had to bail so now us Maritimers get some FREE music all day and night long. So if you love music why not hit the Hill to listen to some great bands. Okay many of you who know me, know I am a common sense mom but I love a great party too, and for bloggers there is no better meet and greet for us girls then BlogHer. I have drooled over the years as many of the wonderful bloggers I know pile into carpools, jump on planes for a very fun informative weekend
This years as I watched my favorite bloggers again get ready to pack there bags, again I was drooling, I wanted to be hand luggage.
But then came along @PrincessJen and @MyBottlesUp, two cool blogging moms who decided that just because we cant be in Chicago doesn’t mean we can’t be part of the party action.. so they are our wonderful hostesses at BlogHer at Home 09.

Okay I usually try and post a freebie that you can access online but this freebie well just tastes so good! Harveys is giving away free orginal burgers on Sunday, may 24th between 10:30 and 3:00 pm in select locations throughout Canada. Go here to find your closest one. Take your family and have a burger. I like that they are cooked while you wait and you get to pick your toppings. Maybe you will see me in line in Halifax.
One of my favorite hobbies for years has been scrapbooking. I started it after being introduced to it by my girlfriend Gayln. Each of her 6 kids had their own books and she was filling each book with memories, well these days the hardbound books are nice but there is much that can be done digitally. I find by coming online I can find everything I need for a digital page and most of it I find for free, and this frugal mom loves that. I often go to DigiFree on Fridays and see what women all over the net have created and are offering up as Freebies on their blogs and sites. For me it is a great way to create a new page and then I can easily print them off, or use them on my personal blog or email them to family. I love DigiFree and I think you will too.
